Steakhouse Alte Munze in Dresden

Very friendly staff who made our stay pleasant. The fact that the Dried Aged steak was delivered medium rather than medium rare is forgiven - the quality was the answer. But the prices ... I like to pay what it's worth for the meat, but the drink prices are a rip off.

It's awesome when you don't even accept the telephone request for a reservation for two people in 10 days and say that you don't have time for that and that we should call again later. Alternatively, they can remember this but cannot guarantee. Obviously the restaurant doesn't need that. But neither do we ...

Part of the Hilton Hotel. It has a great location near the Frauenkirche, but this also means lots of crowds, including a stop for walking tours. I had a dry-aged rump steak, which had a great firm texture, but was not as flavourful as others I have had. The menu did not say how long the steak was aged for, and the waitress also didn't know. I will say that they had cooked a perfect blue. The sides were small. I went for the baked potato.It maybe tasty, as it was finished over the grill, but I expect a whole baked potato for that price , not a miserly half placed in a bowl of sour cream. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but over all I came away feeling that I had overpaid, and under-eaten.

Was okay. Meat quality was very good, the implementation in the kitchen could be a little better. Service was average good, nothing to complain about, but not top notch either.

I can only confirm what others already said. It took them an hour to push out a bloody steak while I ordered well done. They took it back to the kitchten and i left frustrated after another 30 minutes without food.

For the steakhouse "Alte Münze" belonging to the Hilton Hotel, the ambience and the service was disappointing. The restaurant was quite full and very overheated as a result, the table was unfavorably placed, we sweated well. Unfortunately we had to wait 45 minutes for the food and then the side dish ordered was missing. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Very good gastronomy. Friendly good service. Very good cuisine, good composition of the dishes and their preparation. The quality of the dishes corresponds to the price. Highly recommended.

Restaurant ambience good. Service friendly. Food is good but the price-performance ratio is wrong. Choice of food in order. Changes are taken into account. Too bad, we will not eat here again the next time we visit Dresden. We have other restaurants that we prefer.

Meat is fine, but not better than in other restaurants. Service was very friendly. Each side dish, sauce, and even ketchup or mayo has to be paid extra.

Wonderful service, flexible and friendly. The cook has a great sense of harmony in the food. It was a perfect evening.

It took over an hour to get our steaks. The waiter was very rude. The food tasted good, though, but was getting cold. It is not a place for someone who is hungry and wants to have a polite service. The waiter did not remember who ordered what. I was very disappointed.

Excelent steak, wine and atmosphere . Had a lovely experience with friends. I can highly recommend this place.

The taste is good and the atmosphere is good. The main serving person is a little hard. I am asking you how many orders I will order in German. The dry aging steak was delicious. I just need patience to get out.

Good service, good wine and wonderful tender meat. It is well worth the somewhat high price.

Very bad service on Saturday 19/1 in the afternoon. Once they placed us on we were waitting more than 20 minutes for someone to ask what we want. So we left unattended. Simply - I don't expect Hilton to treat their guests like this. Shame

For a long time I did not eat such a good piece of meat: from the really perfect preparation, the competent advice by a very friendly service in advance and the appropriate side dishes - everything was just right. I can well imagine that when it is a bit crowded (we were with a group of eight people, but still almost at lunch alone in the restaurant) and the service staff more than enough to do and the very detailed explanations of the waitress to choose from of meat, its preparation and the appropriate side dishes are then significantly scarce. It is also possible that you have to wait a bit longer for your food. But it's a steakhouse in a good location and no fast food. The ambience is pleasant, the prices of the location and the style of the restaurant adequate. Anyone who gets involved in that gets a very good meal. We will definitely try again and certainly come back.

Food was okay, service was pretty terrible. Unflexible waiting staff were unable to change two similar priced items on the menu for us even though we had already paid. Not what you expect of a decent restaurant and the reason that it would 'upset' the stock orders is a very weak one. Steak was okay - not cooked how one of us asked. A lot of fat for the money you pay - about 30 euro for 300 grams! Wouldn't go again. Massive tourist trap in the centre of Dresden basically and we should have known better, but we went on GroupOn so no surprise that they're desperate for customers.
